What this policy covers

Information is processed for specific site functions

WeltFox is an independent travel publication operated by Miyuru Kanchana. The site does not ask readers to create an account or process payments for affiliate partners.

WeltFox uses Cloudflare infrastructure and may use Cloudflare Turnstile on comment forms to reduce automated abuse. Turnstile loads only where that protection is required, and Cloudflare processes information under its own privacy terms.

Cookies and browser storage

Each category is shown by its real behavior

The preference panel does not offer switches that have no technical effect. Necessary storage remains active, optional performance analytics can be allowed or rejected, and third-party tools keep their separate click-to-load choice.

Pagefind search runs from local site files and does not require a third-party search service. Clearing browser storage may reset your theme, privacy decision, or participation history.

Optional performance analytics

Google Analytics is denied by default

Analytics can show broad usage patterns, such as which pages are viewed, general device information, and how readers move through the site. WeltFox uses this information to identify technical problems and improve content.

The Google Analytics script is not loaded until a valid current choice allows it. Accepting performance analytics does not grant advertising consent or activate affiliate tools. If you withdraw the choice, WeltFox sends an updated denied signal and disables further measurement from this site where technically supported.

Google may process analytics data in other countries under its own terms. Read Google's Privacy Policy, how Google uses information from sites and apps, or use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Affiliate links and external services

Third-party services load only after a deliberate action

Published article content currently uses GetYourGuide for tours and activities and Aviasales for flight search. Aviasales forms use Travelpayouts affiliate technology. If you follow an eligible link and complete a booking, WeltFox may receive a commission without adding a separate fee to your transaction.

An affiliate provider may receive the referring page, IP address, browser or device information, and an affiliate or campaign identifier after you follow its link. It may use cookies under its own policy. WeltFox does not control the provider's account, payment, retention, cancellation, or privacy decisions. Read the Affiliate Disclosure for the complete commercial explanation.

GetYourGuide and Aviasales widgets, and supported YouTube previews, remain inactive until you select their load control. Once opened, the provider may process technical and interaction data as if you had visited its service directly. Closing an embed removes it from the current page but cannot reverse information the provider has already processed.

Advertising

Google AdSense is not currently active

WeltFox may apply for and activate Google AdSense later. If advertising is enabled, Google and other advertising vendors may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, measure, and limit ads. Depending on location, consent, and account configuration, ads may be personalized, non-personalized, or otherwise limited.

Advertising choices will use Google Privacy & Messaging or another Google-certified consent management platform where required. The current WeltFox preference panel manages performance analytics only and does not collect advertising consent. It will not be presented as a certified advertising CMP.

If advertising practices materially change, this policy will be updated and the applicable interface will provide advertising choices and access to Google's advertising controls.

Sharing, transfers, and retention

Providers receive only what their function requires

Hosting, security, measurement, and operational providers may process information needed to provide their service. External providers receive information when you choose to open them. Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect the service or its users, investigate abuse, or answer a valid legal request.

Some providers operate internationally. Their processing locations, safeguards, and retention are governed by their terms and applicable law. WeltFox does not use one fixed retention period for every category. Contact and moderation records are kept only as long as reasonably needed; approved comments may remain with an article; browser preferences remain until changed or cleared; and service providers apply their own retention periods.

Your choices and rights

Change performance analytics at any time

Use this control or the permanent footer link to allow, reject, or change optional performance analytics. External travel tools remain click-to-load regardless of this choice.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection, and to withdraw consent or complain to a relevant authority. Legal exceptions may apply. Send requests to info@weltfox.com with enough information to identify the relevant message, comment, or interaction without including unnecessary sensitive data.

Additional safeguards

Children, security, and policy changes

WeltFox provides general travel information and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so it can be reviewed.

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used, but no website or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. This policy may change when features, providers, legal requirements, or data practices change. Material changes will be reflected here and, where appropriate, in the preference interface.
